The Rodney Angel Memorial Sports Complex

Lake Village’s largest park consist of a clover leaf baseball complex complete with covered bleachers, restrooms, press box and concession stand. Several state and regional tournaments have been hosted at this facility. To the south of the ball complex lies several picnic tables, covered pavilions and a playground area for children. This has become a popular spot for moms to bring their young children for a little fun in the park. Basket ball goals await friendly competition along with a walking trail for those who like to keep in shape.

Plans are underway now for Phase III of the Sports Complex. Two public hearings were held recently with over 60 citizens in attendance at each meeting. The majority of those in attendance were in favor of building a multi-purpose outdoor arena. There was discussion also of the possibility of  soccer fields, tennis courts, and a swimming pool. The City is the process of completing the grant application at this time for funding for Phase III of the City Parks Master Plan.
